Dear Patsy and All,
I am with tears as I have been very removed from my Elders of Tracy City, TN. My mother was the Daughter of Marguerite Geary Brown. That made Earl Geary my favorite FUNNY Uncle! Your mom was the best HOSTESS, known for sweet Tea & Banana Pudding would be waiting on me and a bowl of Veggies fresh from the Garden with a story of many to follow my quick visits. Walking her home and the tales were never to grow old. Made you just admire her STRENGTH & HEART about the world. OH! How she never held back if she LIKED something or DIDN'T!
The Elders of the Geary side fizzled to talk among each other as the connections of my own efforts staying in touch becoming a Widow in 2003 at the age of 44 and one daughter then withered...Your MOM from the 1980's to 2003 took me literally in her arms to grant me the TEACHINGS of what life is NOW, not then! A pure REALIST she was! Not in the Geary Family a long time had the kind thoughtful heart to offer me a Music Organ of my Great Grandmothers I believe...Just the thought as I declined to offer to another who would hopefully play it and show it off in a home more than my lifestyle would...Was one that was MORE FAMILY than those before & now...
Patsy, she spoke of you so much, like you were more her SISTER that the years you shared went so way back! Proud of you, the life of Jack & Football made her feel so proud. I still recall her primative HUGE Video Phone she just loved talking to you! I know you miss her dearly...And, as I oddly found a picture of my Mom's parents Tombstone in a graveyard in Tracy under an odd Paranormal Site that found me to explore...I had read of my other favorite Great Uncle (Max Geary) passed in 2016 he made it to 90...The ages of Life inspire me to always try to make it to 91 as my Great Grandmother did in Tracy (Lily Myers Geary)...Your mom making it to 89 is a CELEBRATION!
I can not help to believe it was this 1.5 hrs exploring why one random picture of where my family was noticed of the History of Tracy City...That I found this beautiful Video of my Aunt Marie and my heart of THANKFULNESS to of known her and feel your generous gifts so sweetly selected like a Baby Quilt I still have of my now 25 yo Daughter (Ashley Friesen) a baby bracelet from the islands & pictures we would of taken in 1984 and 1990's...A lady who was full of LIFE!
I will pick Flowers with you again Aunt Marie!
