I am so saddened to hear the news about Larry's passing. He was such a great man, and he was always my daddy's best and most treasured friend. Daddy would talk of him so highly and always said he was one of the very few men he trusted with his life. He always said he was undeserving of Larry's undenying friendship and love. His actions have always spoken volumes about his character. My heart goes out to the entire Layne family, as I understand the heartache you are going through. I know he and Bubba are laughing it up in heaven!

We are deeply sorry for your loss of a wonderful man. Wade served our country and loved everyone. Nancy and myself were gonna come to the funeral together. God had answered prayers for Nancy to have a chance to get well. She got the call last night for her lung transplant which was also our Mom's birthday. We love the Layne family and we will be praying for y'all to find comfort in each other and God. Gail stay strong with the good memories you shared with each other. God Bless Love, Mary, Misty and Marissa Parks and Nancy Skinner

I am so sorry for your loss. Wade was truly an American hero. I got to know him really well when we were starting out the Veterans Historical Society. He was a big help to Mr. Ashby and Y.B. always appreciated him. It was an honor to know him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. R.I.P.

It's very sad hearing of his passing. Larry was one of the nicest guys I ever met while serving in the military. Larry and I performed military funerals together. His condolences to the families were truly heart felt. His concerns for others was something I admired and has made me a better person by knowing him. My condolences to his family. RIP Larry.
