Obituary of Lewis Wright Gilliam Jr.

Lewis Wright Gilliam Jr., age 47, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away February 13, 2023. He was born on June 6, 1975, to the late Lewis Wright Gilliam Sr. and Edna Dishroom Gilliam. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Letha Dishroom; paternal grandparents, Martha Elizabeth Barnes and Houston Gilliam; and a stepdaughter, Payton Byers. Lewis enjoyed going caving and was very outdoorsy. His favorite pastime was collecting coins. He loved his family very much and was always doing activities and playing with the kids. He had a great sense of humor and was always smiling and in good spirits. He is survived by his fiancé, Kerry Metcalf; sisters, Elizabeth Gail Sweeton and Stephanie (Chris Sr.) Wood; stepdaughter, Cecily Byers; nieces and nephew, Brittany Gilliam, Austin Geier, and Shylo Turley; special nieces and nephews, Abram, Paisley, Skyrah, Conner, and Salem; soon to be mother-in-law, Mary (Alfred) Ludwig; other nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. Donations can be made to the Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
