George was a younger cousin of my husband Lee (Jones) McPherson, now deceased. George never failed to keep in touch with us. We will forever miss his cheery letters. Godspeed cousin until we reunite.

This is Kay Smith Curtis(daughter of Ken & Genevieve Smith). I have so many fond memories of when the Millers came to Salt Lake for family reunions. George was one of my favorite cousins, with a number of others, such as Roy, Teri, Delsy & Chris. Our family reunions were often in the mountains of which one was Brighton. It was fun exploring & hiking with cousins, collecting long thin leaves which we would weave into mats. I loved to see my Aunt Enid & Uncle Clyde bring their family from California to Utah. Through the years we received Christmas cards from the Tennessee Millers & I want to thank you all so much for those wonderful memories. Sure love my extended family. Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss.

Here are a couple pictures of George helping build the foundation for our shed, along with his brother Grant, and Tom.
We love George so much; we miss him and mourn his passing.

Having driven 3,000 miles from CA, we met George and others (who were expecting us) when they arrived to help us unload our pod, moving trailer, and car into a little rental in Wildwood, GA. Immediately, we felt surrounded by family. That was George!!! He made you feel like family. I have great memories of taking my kids to his house for holidays, get-togethers, and just because. His great love of the Gospel and his desire to share with others made a huge impression on me to become a better person and missionary to others. Even though we spent less than a year in the Jasper Branch, it has become my favorite church family and a large part of that is due to George & Ginger. George will be geniunely missed by all who knew him.

It was often difficult to get a good photo of my father, George Miller because he was often in the service of others. In this photo he was helping us clear and flatten out the property that would soon become my family’s new home. He’s the hardworking guy in the middle of the photo holding the shovel. On a typical day he could be found around our community, mowing neighbor’s lawns, shoveling gravel for someone’s driveway, or just visiting the lonely.
