Obituary of Matthew Christian Reynolds

Matthew Christian Reynolds, age 51, of Sewanee, Tennessee, passed away August 7, 2022. He was born in Huntington, West Virginia to Wallace A. and Shelia L Woodrum Reynolds on December 14, 1970. He is preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents. Matthew was a loving father and husband. He was a really good friend to a lot of people and made friends wherever he went. He loved playing video games and listening to all genres of music. His favorite sports team was the Liverpool Soccer team and he was an excellent chef. Matthew was Associate Director of University Archives and Special Collections at the University of the South since 2015. He received a Master of Library Science degree from the University of Kentucky. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Viva Reynolds; daughter, Fiona Reynolds; parents, Wallace and Shelia Reynolds; brother, Peter Benjamin & Michelle Reynolds; nephew John Kovach and niece, Allison Reynolds. A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a later date.
