Our mother was power walker! How many times would we hear, “I saw your mother walking today” – always enjoying the beauty of Sewanee. A fierce bridge and scrabble player you could find her playing both at the Sewanee Senior Citizens Center. She loved her family, friends, teaching, Goo Goo Clusters, travelling with our father and being his biggest fan for any sport he was coaching. She was seen as a summer mother for former campers at Camp Mountain Lake which she owned with our father.
A private graveside service will be held at the University of the South Cemetery in Sewanee, TN.
The family will host one last bridge and scrabble game while celebrating her life on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Sewanee Senior Citizens Center from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Folks at Home, 141 University Avenue, Sewanee, TN 37375 or to the Horace and Novella Moore Endowed Scholarship at the University of the South, Office of University Advancement, 735 University Avenue, Sewanee, TN 37383.
