When I was 5/6 Johnathan and I found a hen on her nest, with the eggs about to hatch. We asked papa to watch, of course he said yes. Well Johnathan’s mom Amanda saw us, and she whipped us all the way down the hill and into the house. We came in screaming, Papa jumped up out of the kitchen chair with fear in his eyes, worried that hen had gotten us. I ran to papa crying trying to explain when Amanda yelled “ now stay away from that hen” Papa yelled back “ I TOLD THEM THEY COULD WATCH , NOW STOP WHIPPING THESE KIDS” He was always there for me.
