Obituary of Roger C Shrum

Mr. Roger Clement Shrum, age 66, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at his home in Tracy City, Tennessee. He was born on July 8, 1954 in Altamont, Tennessee to the late Stanley E. and Katie Mae Nunley Shrum. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his son, Brent Shrum; sisters, Judy Shrum, Nelda Hastings and brother Joel Shrum. Roger was a perfectionist with a dry sense of humor. He enjoyed woodworking and loved his service dog “Bud”. Roger was a loving father and grandfather. He was courageous and had great strength through all his hardships in life. Roger will be greatly missed by his loving daughter Brooke and grandson Colton. He will always be remembered and greatly admired by his brothers, sisters and all that knew him. Roger is survived by his daughter, Brooke Nunley, brothers; Ralph (Nellie) Shrum, Keith Shrum, Don (Julie) Shrum, Troy (Sandy) Shrum; sisters; Sue (Charlie) Byers, Theresa (Jerry) Steele; grandson, Colton Nunley; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be at Foster & Lay Chapel, in Tracy City, Tennessee, Monday, November 16, 2020, 2:00 P.M. with Reverend John Potts, Brother Ralph Shrum and Grandson Colton Nunley officiating, burial will immediately follow at Burns Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, November 15, 2020 from 4:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M.
