Tina, Destiny, and Sammy,
My sincerest condolences to your entire family during these challenging times. Words alone cannot possibly describe the sense of loss and sadness you all are experiencing at this time. Bobby and I became friends while stationed in Korea (ROK) during our time together at Camp Stanton and Camp LaGuardia from May/June 1981 to May/June 1982. Unlike many friendships that seem to fall by the wayside for many people, those bonds developed while serving in the military last a lifetime. In Bobby’s case, he was an outstanding soldier who knew his job very well and a regret I will always have is we didn’t have that opportunity to get together as planned last weekend. I will say that in the preceding months prior to his untimely passing, Bobby and I had many long phone conversations and during this time I noticed he was becoming increasingly engaging and positive in our discussions, and when we weren’t talking about Korea, he would always tell stories about his family. He was especially proud of Destiny, or as he referred to her – “my brain”, and Sammy playing football. I pray God will heap blessings upon blessings on your entire family during this time and for the rest of you lives.

My dearest brother in law. I miss you. I will forever miss your smile, your bright face, looking for a cup of coffee. Your laughter shared over my famous Margaritas will forever ring in my ears.
