Obituary of Buddy Meeks
Buddy Meeks age 67, of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Thursday November 29, 2018 at Parkridge Medical Center, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Buddy is preceded in death by his parents Jeff and Sue Meeks; brother Tommy Meeks; and sister Louise Barnes.
Buddy was a well-known gospel singer. Getting his start with his family group The Gospel Persuaders, then he became a member of The Blessed for many years, ending his career a member of The Old Timers.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Kathy Meeks; sons, Greg (Shelly) Meeks and Jeremy Meeks; sister Ruby (Claude) Hoback; sister in law Mary Griswold; grandchildren, Baylee, Taylor, and Harley Meeks; along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday December 2, 2018 at Foster and Lay Chapel with brother Dennis Rollins, Mike Rigsby, Franklin Hill, Barry Nolan, and John Potts officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Plainview Cemetery. Visitation begins Saturday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Online condolences may be made at www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net
