Obituary of Faye M. Garner

Mrs. Faye Moran Garner age 86 of Bells Cove near Pelham, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018, at her home. Faye was born January 28, 1932 in Decherd, a daughter of the late Wiley Moran and Vivian Henley Moran. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, William Clarence Garner. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ruby Scanlan.

Mrs. Garner was an active member of the Pelham Church of Christ and farmed beside her husband since their marriage in 1948. She was a generous caring person, she enjoyed where she lived and time spent in her yard and her kitchen, she was an excellent cook.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Susan Daniel, Kim Goins, Sherry Perez and Glenda Patterson for the excellent care and love they gave.

Survivors include her son, Dennis C. (Vickie) Garner of Pelham; daughter, Marcia Garner Rice (Richard) of Nashville; grandson, Matthew (Tonya) Garner; great grandsons, Taylor Arce and Lane Clarence Garner; sister, Ruth Moran Gipson of Virginia.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday in the chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brother Bob Winton conducting services. She will be buried beside her husband at the Church of Christ Cemetery in Pelham. Pallbearers will be Matthew Garner, Kelton Garner, Carl Burnett, J L Winton, George Lynn, Mike Partin and special friend, Robert Sitz. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 Noon until time of services at the funeral home. On line condolences may be shared with the family at: www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net.
