Obituary of Henry Newton Nunley

Mr. Henry Newton Nunley age 86 of the Flat Branch community near Tracy City passed away at his home on Wednesday evening, September 5, 2018. He was born in Hargis Cove in Marion County on May 9, 1932, a son of the late Henry and Clara Louise Nunley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Dean Nunley; son, Jeffery Nunley; sister, Elsie Childers; grandson, Dustin Nunley.

Mr. Nunley was a retired carpenter and professional woodworker, he loved gospel music and playing the guitar.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Nunley; children, Howard L. Nunley, Mike (Vicky) Green, Connie (Kelly) Overturf, Treva (William) Orange, Theresa “Happy” (Jimmy) Copeland, Donna (Ricky) Caldwell; sister, Lillie Mae Caldwell; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. graveside at Orange Hill Cemetery with Bro. Mike Rigsby and Bro. Ray Winton officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-9 P.M. At the funeral home. On line condolences may be made at: www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net.
