Obituary of Helen Medley Meeks

  Mrs. Helen Ruth Medley Meeks age 83 of Pelham, Tennessee passed from this life Wednesday evening, July 11, 2018, at NHC Health Care in Murfreesboro. She was a retired housewife and farmer with her husband. Mrs. Meeks was a member of Pelham United Methodist Church, she was born at home in Pelham on May 3, 1935 a daughter of the late, J.E. “Bo” Medley and Mary Elizabeth “Cecil” Yarber Medley and was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Pleasant; brothers, Pascal and Johnny Medley.

  Survivors include her husband, Ralph Meeks; daughter, Cindy (Tom) McCord; son, Richard Meeks (Preston); sister, Reeda Kaye Shelton (Larry); brother, Clifton (Drucilla) Medley; sisters-in-law, Willie Jo and Mary Medley; grandchildren, Patrick and Alexis and a host of nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Sunday at Pelham United Methodist Church with Reverend Theresa Johnson and Reverend De Hennessy officiating. Burial will follow at the Church of Christ Cemetery in Pelham. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home and on Sunday from 1:30 until the time of services at the church.
