Abbie Layne Parks, age 76, of Pelham Tennessee, passed away Sunday, at Memorial Health Care System in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Franklin Nunley and Sally Hatfield Nunley, her first husband, Loys Layne; brothers, Albert Nunley, Alvin Nunley, Sr., John Beecher Nunley, Harry Nunley, Marshall Nunley, Bill Nunley, Raymond "bud" Nunley; sisters, Elizabeth Layne, Rose Rains, Katie Shrum, Bessie Anderson and Sarah Johnson. Survivors include her husband, Paul K. Parks, Pelham, TN; sons, Danny (Sharon) Layne, Tracy City, TN; Russell (Debbie) Layne, Tracy City, TN; Alan (Tammy) Layne, Tracy City, TN; step daughter, Jan (Roy) Swisher, Franklin, KY; brother, Charles Nunley, Sequatchie, TN; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel, burial will be in the Gregg Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
