Obituary of William Duke Brown

 Coalmont – Mr. William Duke Brown, 85, passed away, Friday, June 23, 2018 at his home.  He was born in Coalmont, Tennessee on May 16, 1933 to Burton and Nellie Frederick Brown who preceded him in death along with his sisters, Mildred Meeks, Iva Jean Church, Susie Mae Childers and Nellene Rogers; brothers. Howard, Jim, Leon, and Clarence Brown; infant daughter, Diann Brown.

He was a Superintendent at the water department in Warren County.

He is survived by his daughters, Wanda (Howell) McDaniel and Deborah (Anthony) Scissom; mother of his children, Mary Sue Brown; step-son, Jerome (Willie) Hale; brother, Lewis (Lena Mae) Brown; grandchildren, Brent (April) Anderson, Devonna (Jamie) Cox and April (Chad) McBee; great grandchildren, JoLeigh (Cameron) Johnson, Taylor McBee and Landon McBee, Devan Layne and Maci and Cullen Anderson, Tona Cox; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the Foster and Lay Chapel with Minister John Potts officiating with burial to follow in the Coalmont Cemetery. Visitation: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Sunday at Cumberland Funeral Home, Tracy City, Tennessee. www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net
