Obituary of Mary Ruth Meeks

Tracy City- Mary Ruth Meeks, 81, passed from this life Saturday June 9, 2018 at STRHS-Sewanee from a sudden illness. She was born in Grundy County, Tennessee on May 7, 1937 to the late Howard Nunley and Elsie Dykes Nunley. Also, preceding her in death; Husband Walter Meeks Jr., Brothers; James David Nunley, Lee Roy Nunley and Alvin Powell. Sister; Geraldine Meeks.

Mrs. Meeks is survived by: Daughters; Margaret (LaBron) Lawson, Renee (Ronnie) Campbell and Paula Meeks. Brothers; Joe Nunley and Charles Ray Nunley. Sisters; Ruby Shrum, Buena Meeks and Carolyn Shrum. Grandchildren; Rhonda, Kristen, Josh, Cody and Nate. Along with six Great-Grandchildren.

Services will be Monday June 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM in Cumberland's Foster and Lay Chapel with Rev. Johnny Gipson and Ralph Shrum officiating. Burial will follow at Pryor Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday June 10, 2018 from 12 noon till 9:00PM and from 10:00 AM Monday till time of service.
