Obituary of Mary Frances Winton

Pelham- Mrs. Mary Frances Winton, 87, passed away Tuesday February 6, 2018 at NHC of Athens. She was born in Savannah, Tennessee on August 21, 1930 to Lawrence and Stella Franks who preceded her in death along with her husband Leon Winton; sister Barbara Diaddario and granddaughter Kelly Winton.

Mrs. Winton was of the Christian faith. Frances loved to go to the flea market and collect antiques. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, and working in her flower beds. She spent many hours walking the fields in Pelham looking for arrow heads. Her two daschounds Mo and Oscar held a special place in her heart. She always loved to travel with her friends Josephine and Marie Nunley.

She is survived by sons, Larry (Barbara) Winton of Ohio, Jeff and Garry Winton of Pelham; daughter, Patty (Jon) Mansfield of Tracy City, Tn.; brothers, Roy (Dana) Franks of Florida, Buddy (Toni) Franks of Ohio; sisters, Ruby Talbot of California, and Shirley Meeks of Gallitin; grandchildren, Briana(Chris) Keith, Travis Winton, William Winton, Kimberly(Fred) Rousch, and Boone(RussLyn) Milner; great grandchildren, Dalton, McKenzie, Katelin, Lacy, Shelby, Ayden, Addison, Lillian, and Liam.

Services will be held Sunday February 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home chapel in Monteagle, Tennessee with an interment following at Payne’s Cove Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday February 10, 2018 from 5:00-9:00 PM at our Monteagle location.
