Obituary of Mary Jane Winton

Mary Jane Stubblefield Winton of Pelham, Tennessee, departed on November 23, 2017 with her Heavenly Father’s opening arms welcoming her home.

Mary Jane was born on March 13, 1950, in Jackson County, Alabama, to Bill and Addie Stewart Stubblefield. Mary jane was a dear sister to five brothers and one sister. Mary Jane loved her family and was there for all. Mary Jane was a caring and loving person. She had spent many years caring for her husband until his death. Fear was not in her vocabulary, but being strong and tough was Mary Jane. Mary Jane loved the Lord and was an avid fan of Peyton Manning.

She went home to be with her parents, Bill and Addie Stewart Stubblefield, brother, Henry “Toots” Stubblefield, sisters’ in-law, Opal and Margaret Stubblefield, father and mother in-law, John and Edna Mae Oliver Crowell, special family member, L.D. Sartain, and the love of her life, husband, Harold David Winton.

Mary Jane leaves behind with her love; two sons, Paul David Winton (Tammy) and David Alan Winton, three grandchildren, Chesney Wiseman, Adam and Joey Winton and one great-grandchild, Isabella Dawn Wiseman. Mary Jane also leaves behind four brothers and one sister; Jimmy Stubblefield of Payne’s Cove, Arnold (Reba) Stubblefield of Fayetteville, Ray (Judy) Stubblefield of Monteagle, Chester “Doobie” Stubblefield of Scottsboro, Alabama, and a precious sister, Josephine (Ronnie) Meeks of Payne’s Cove.

She leaves behind her husband’s family with her love; Dan (Barbara) Winton of Perry, Georgia, Nell (Frank) Skinner of Wilmington, North Carolina, Vida (late Steve) Rawls, of Byron, Georgia, Raymond (Cindy) Crowell of Byron, Charlie Crowell of Bon Aire, Georgia, John Alan (Michele) Crowell of Byron, and Debra (Chuck) Stephens of Centerville, Georgia.

Her love will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Brother John Cox officiating. Burial will be in Warren-Red Hill Cemetery in Pelham.
