Obituary of Nelda Hastings

Monteagle- Mrs. Nelda Hastings, of Monteagle, passed away Monday October 23, 2017, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health- Sewanee. She was born on April 15, 1964, to the late Rev. Stanley E. Shrum and Katie M. Shrum. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Joel Shrum; and sister, Judy Shrum.

Mrs. Hastings is survived by her husband Billy W. Hastings; sons, Robert (Megan) Hastings, Estill Springs, Tn., Aaron (Bethany) Hastings, Sewanee, Tn., William (Denise) Kimbrill, Decherd, Tn.; daughter, Katie Hastings, Cowan, Tn.; brothers, Ralph Shrum, Tracy City, Roger Shrum, Tracy City, Troy Shrum, Tracy City, Keith Shrum, Lake City, Fl., Don Shrum, Pensacola, Fl.; sisters, Sue (Charles) Byers, Tracy City, and Theresa (Jerry) Steele, Estill Springs; grandchildren, Luke Kimbrill, Easton Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Dawson Johnson, Alyssa Hastings, and Bentley Hastings.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday October 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Foster and Lay Chapel at Cumberland Funeral Home, Tracy City, Tennessee, with Bro. Dennis Rollins officiating. Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 5 to 9 PM. Interment will be held at Burns Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net.
