Obituary of Donnie Ray Thomas

Mr. Donnie Ray Thomas age 68 of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the V.A. Medical Center in Nashville. He was born in Monteagle a son of the late Charles Ed Thomas and Rosa Lee Kilgore Thomas and was preceded in death by a brother, George Thomas. He was a U.S. Army Viet Nam veteran and was retired from Tyson Foods.

Mr. Thomas was a Christian and was a member of Pentecostal Light House Church in Monteagle.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Thomas; sons, George (Beth) Thomas, Donnie (Melissa) Thomas, Roselee (Nelson) Anderson; brother, Lester Meeks; sisters, Dot Smartt and Ruby Hobbs; grandchildren, Lee, Lizzie, Johnny, Elijah, Wesley, Michael, Daniel and Rebecca and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Grant Walker officiating. Burial will be in Clouse Hill Cemetery. The Sequatchie Valley Veterans Honor Guard of Jasper will provide full military honors for Mr. Thomas. The family will receive friends Monday 4-9 P.M. At the funeral home.
