Tracy City – Mr. Jack Williams “Bill Jack” Loyd, 82, passed away Wednesday August 16, 2017 at the Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. He was born in Stevenson, Alabama on September 1, 1934 to Cecil C. Loyd Sr. and Esther Williams Loyd who preceded him in death along with his first wife, Jeanette Griffith Loyd; sister, Sandy Loyd Buckner; brothers, Cecil C. Loyd Jr. and Charles “Bo” Loyd Sr.

Bill Jack was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a member of the Chattanooga Primative Baptist Church and had farmed with his family in Stevenson, Alabama for several years and worked for Mead Container in Stevenson. He was currently a resident of Bellvidere, TN

He is survived by his wife, Mary Conry Loyd; sons, Jack Williams Loyd Jr., Bellvidere and Steven Griffith (Kathy) Loyd of Stevenson, AL; granddaughter, Jeannie Arnold (Joseph) Light of Florida along with 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the Foster and Lay Chapel at Cumberland Funeral Home, Tracy City, with Ministers Andrew Huffman and James Hindman officiating with military honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. Burial will be in the Plainview Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday at Cumberland Funeral Home, Tracy City, Tennessee. www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net
