Monteagle- Mr. Charles Matthew Rollins, 74, passed away Thursday August 10, 2017 at his home. He was born in Marion County, Tennessee on December 12, 1942 to Virgil and Vera Rollins who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by brothers; Roy and David Rollins.

He was a lifelong resident of Monteagle owning Rollins Electric and Plumbing, serving 3 terms as county commissioner, several years as councilman, and was the Mayor for the Town of Monteagle for 18 years. He attended the Monteagle Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Sewanee Lodge 405. Hobbies included hunting, fishing and golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Rollins; sons, Barry (Rhonda) Rollins, Greg (Lisa) Rollins, Troy (Lisa) Rollins, Chris (Summer) Rollins; daughter, Melinda (James) White; brother, Jeff Rollins; sisters, Mary Sue (Carl) Walden, Linda (Carl) Reid, Ruby (John) Wilkinson, Jane(John) Noblitt, Bertha (Michael) Roberson, and Debbie and (Tim) Shrum; seven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Monday, August 14, 2017, with Masonic Rites in the funeral home chapel with Minister Clayton Jones officiating. Visitation on Monday: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Services on Monday at 4:00 P.M. at Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, Tennessee. Online condolences can be made at www.cumberlandfuneralhome.com
