Monteagle, Tn.- Mr. Robert Carlton Webster age 86 of Monteagle, Tennessee passed from this life to his heavenly home on Thursday July 27, 2017 at Sewanee Hospital. He was the son of the late Vernon and Grace Webster and is preceded in death by his wife Doris Webster; brother, Paul Webster; sons, Darrell, Edward, and Preston Webster and Richard Stranahan.

Survivors include his children, Glenn (Penny) Webster, Whitwell, Tn., Donald (Nancy) Stranahan, Michigan, Mary Turner, Monteagle, Tn., Kenneth (Sharon) Webster, Chattanooga, Tn., Stephen (Vickie) Grayson, Monteagle, Tn., Diana (Ricky) Hill, Beersheba Springs, Tn.; sister Ida Sue Westerman Dickson; brothers, David (Clara) Webster, Whitwell, Tn. and Daniel (Sarah) Webster. Sixteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

He was very active in community events when he lived in Whitwell. He was a member of the Sequatchie Valley Baptist Association, and Builders for Christ. A longtime member of the Whitwell First Baptist Church and Tracy City First Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Airforce Veteran and worked at Big Creek Utility Dist. for several years.    

Services will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday August 2, 2017 at the Tracy City First Baptist Church with Bro. Ben Curtis, Bro. Kenneth Webster, and Bro. Neal Westerman. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday up until time of service. Online condolences can be made at www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net
