Carolyn “Tootsie” Fults Higgins age 77 of Monteagle passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, at her home. She was born in Palmer, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Hubert and Pearl Fults, she was preceded in death by her husband, W.A. Higgins; brothers, Tommy Waymon Fults and Roy Gene "Bally" Fults.
Survivors include her sons, Terry (Lois) Higgins, Pocket Road, Whitwell, and Michael (Pam) Higgins, Whitwell; brother, Don (Darlene) Fults, Coalmont; sisters, Betty (Bob) Payne, Sequatchie, TN, Sheila A. Layne, Monteagle; grandchildren, Travis, Timothy, Ashley, Joseph and Willie Douglas "Mutt"; great-grandchild, Lily; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ralph Shrum officiating. Burial will follow in the Presnell Cemetery in the Pocket Community near Griffith Creek with Brother Bob Payne conducting the graveside committal. The family will receive friends Monday evening 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
