Josie Marie Meeks, age 87, Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at The Waters of Winchester. She is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Meeks, Sr.; parents, Mack and Maggie Meeks; bothers, John, Jeff, Alfred D.; sisters, Lilly Sanders, Thursa Sanders, Clara Layne, Ruth Parson Moore, Tressie Thomas and Dora Meeks. She was a member of Tracy City Church of Christ.
Survivors include her sons, Theodore (Beverly) Meeks, Jr., Ricky Meeks; daughters, Doris (Bruce) Morgan, Janie (Jerry) Tipton; sisters, Mary Kilgore, Gabriella Sanders; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Tracy City Church of Christ with Brother Creig Kimbro and Brother Mike Partin officiating, burial will be in the Clouse Hill cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. At Foster & Lay Funeral Home.
