Elton Dykes age 55 of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, in Emerald-Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee. Elton was employed by Alstom as a welder, he was a member of Boilermakers Local # 656. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Tressie McDaniel, Andy and Hallie Dykes.
Survivors include his wife, Shellie Dykes; children, Billy Charles Dykes, Miranda (Jarrett) Schaerer, Ethan (Christan) Dykes; parents, Charles and Claudene Dykes; brothers, Alan Dykes, Robin (Glenda) Dykes; grandchildren, Alyssa Sky, Jatin and Kelsi; nephews, Derrick and Cody Dykes.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ray Winton officiating. Burial will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. The family is receiving friends 5-9 P.M. Friday and 8:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Foster & Lay Funeral Home, Tracy City, Tennessee.
