Mrs. Eva Phipps Meeks passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester. She was a daughter of the late Clarence and Hallie Campbell Phipps and was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Meeks; sister, Rosa Lee Phipps; brother, Sam Phipps; grandchild, Garrett Stanley Meeks. Survivors include her children, Kenneth Meeks, Manchester, Linda M. Roberts, Kimball, TN., Carol M. Gilliam, Manchester and Myra Jean Meeks, Tracy City; brothers, Damon Phipps, Signal Mountain, Wayne Phipps, Cohutta,GA, Allen Phipps, Chattanooga; sister, Jane Kelly, Chattanooga; 7 grand-children, several great-grand-children.
A graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday in Coalmont Cemetery with Brother Ray Winton and Reverend Clayton Jones officiating. The family will receive frinds Thursday from 5-9 P.M. at Foster & Lay Funeral Home in Tracy City, Tennessee,96 St. Clair Street, 931-592-3691.
