Obituary of Mary Scott

Mrs. Mary A. Scott age 78 of Sewanee passed away Friday, March 10, 2017, at STRHS- Winchester. Mrs. Scott had retired from the cafeteria at St. Andrews-Sewanee School. She was a daughter of the late George Mitt Tate and Flossie Wise Tate and was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Scott; brothers, Rance, Bill and Tim Tate; sister, Louise Hamby; granddaughter, Elizabeth Scott Sanders.
Survivors include her sister, Cindy Jane Tate; children, Sherry Dykes, Timothy (Edith) Scott, Milton (Donna) Scott, Paul Scott, Mark (Susan) Scott; grandsons, William Lee Scott and Joshua Dykes; granddaughters, Rachel (Danny), Laura Scott; great-grandsons, Timothy Sanders, Devin Sanders; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Mickey Henley officiating. Burial will be in Monteagle Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday 4-8 P.M. On line condolences may be made at: www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net.
