Obituary of Mary King

Mrs. Mary E. King age 81 of the Alto community near Decherd, Tennessee went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 22, 2017. She was a daughter of the late James and Mamie Garner O'Dear and was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Preston King; daughter, Lisa Tate; brothers, Jimmy and Pat O'Dear; sisters, Maxine and Shirley. Mary had worked at The University of the South and retired from the SmokeHouse Restaurant. Survivors include her sons, Clinton "Corky" King and Thomas Jeffery King; daughters, Marlan McBee, Joyce Sells, Doris Ann Haney and Mary Jean King; brother, Homer O'Dear; sisters, Faye and Barbara; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Mike Rigsby officiating. Burial will be in O'Dear Cemetery in Sewanee.
