Mr. G.C. Byers, 65, passed away Sunday February 05, 2017 at his home in Monteagle. He was born in Manchester, Tennessee on May 22, 1951 to Bill and Hattie Mae Byers who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Kenneth, Eugene, Danny, and George; sisters, Louise, and Janice.
He is survived by his sons, Walter Ray Byers (Oregon), Shane Kelly Byers (Oregon), Bobby Huffstuttler (Tracy City, Tn.), Chopper Huffstuttler (Monteagle, Tn.), Edward Byers (Monteagle, Tn.), David G.C. Byers (Fayetteville), Dylan Ray Byers (Fayetteville), and Mason Jacob Kane Byers; daughters, Janice Marie Byers (Osmotherly, Wyoming), and Teresa Meeks (Monteagle, Tn.); sister, Beverly Patterson (Winchester, Tn.); several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Lappin Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Cumberland Funeral Home of Monteagle, Tennessee.
