Obituary of David Horton

Services for David Allen "Boo Boo" Horton age 12 will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Foster & Lay Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mike Rigsby officiating. BooBoo departed this life for his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Boo Boo was adored and loved by everyone who met him, he was truly a special child. He liked Ninja Turtles and the Angry Birds, listening to music, including Let It Go from Frozen and I'll Fly Away which were two of his favorites. Survivors include his mother, Amanda Horton (Mark Carrick); father, David Horton; sister, Deserae Horton; grandparents, Wilson and Kathy Horton, Phyllis and Benny Carrick. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Judy Meeks. Matthew 18: 1-5 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Mike Rigsby officiating, the family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-9 P.M. At the funeral home.
