Obituary of Alvin Rollins

Mr. Alvin Rollins age 61 of the Midway community near Sewanee passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011, at his home. He was a son of the late William Alvin and Sennie Lea Rollins and was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Hoyt, William Keith and Richard Allen Rollins. Alvin had worked in the construction business all of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Rollins; son, Ernest Alan (Lashawnda) Rollins; daughter, Mary Ann (Jeremy) Gifford; grandchildren, Michaela, Dreva, Trevor and Sidney all of Sewanee; sisters, Virginia Ruth Reed, Goshen, Ohio, Gloria Jean Holsomback, LaFayette, GA, Gladys Lea McKee, Cisco, GA; brothers Billy Wayne Rollins, Rossville, GA and Jeffery Ray Rollins, Sparta, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Michael Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery in Midway. The family will receive friends 5-9 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Cumberland Funeral Home, 207 Mabee Avenue, Monteagle, Tennessee.
