Obituary of Charles Hawkins

Charles Taylor Hawkins, age 66, of Sewanee, passed away unexpectedly January 5, 2017 at his home.
He was an Army Veteran and retired from CSX/Railroad.
Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patsy Jo Hawkins; parents, Jack Horace Jr. and Eliene (Garner) Hawkins.
He leaves behind his sons, James Corey Hawkins and wife Shanna of Sewanee, Charles Travis Hawkins of Winchester; beloved grandchildren, Zandria Taylor Hawkins, Zachary Ian Wooten, Tristan Drake Wooten, Hunter Channing Hawkins, and Kody Lynn Hawkins; special, beloved pets Jeter and Sampson; brother, Jack Horace Hawkins III of Prunedale, California; sister Frieda Hawkins of Sewanee; two nieces and three nephews also survive.
There will be a memorial service at Cumberland Funeral Home chapel on Sunday, January 8th at 4:30PM. There will be a period of visitation with the family prior to the service from 3 until time of service.
