Obituary of Gloria Lewis

Mrs. Gloria Anna Lewis, age 89 fell asleep in death Saturday, December 11, 2016. She was born and lived in Cincinnati, Ohio and Lantana, Florida, before moving to Monteagle in 2008. She had been one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 61 years. Her greatest joy in life was helping others understand God's Word. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lewis; sons, Gary Lewis and Terry Lewis and his wife, Tressie; brother-in-law, Jim Griffis. Survivors include her sister, Martha Griffis; granddaughter, Katrina (Richard) Thomas; grandsons, Dustin (Kristi) Martin and Ryan Martin; nieces, Bonnie (Bill) Nunley and Glory O'Blenes; great-grandchildren, Brandt and Hunter Thomas; daughter-in-law, Sharon; and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Coalmont. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation to: Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416 would be appreciated.
