Lonnie Wilson Yates, age 76, of Sewanee, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, September, 11, 2016 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems in Sewanee, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leesul and Claudia "Jay" Yates; sister, Mary Frances Yates; niece, Karen Bailey.
Survivors include is wife of almost 57 years Elizabeth "Liz" "The Wife" Yates, Sewanee, Tennessee; son, S. B. Yates; grandson, Todd S. Yates (fiance Faith Howard); sister, Connie Warner; nephew, Michael Reid (fiance Mischelle Emery) Ty and Jordan Reid.
Funeral services were private for the family.
