Rita Thompson, age 75, of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Sewanee, Tennessee. She is survived by her husband, Jack Thompson; daughters, Donna Jordan, Ginger Jordan and Jill (Shawn) D'Arcey; brother, Homer (Arlene) Layne, Jr.; sisters, Faye (Bill) Henley, Sherry (Nat) Harris, Joyce (Don) Jacobs, Freda (Rock) Layne; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be at 3:30 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2016 in the City Cemetery with Reverend John Potts officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M.
