Obituary of Sarah McGregor

Mrs. Sarah J. McGregor passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at the home of her daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Howard McGregor; parents, Columbus & Sallie Jacobs Green; twin sister, Martha J. Gilliam. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Tim Sherrill; grandchildren, Jessica Sherrill, Murfreesboro, Zachary Sherrill, Shelbyville and Sarah Beth (Cody) Easley of Huntsville; great-grandson, Matthew Easley; special family, Tabitha Rankin and Chanten Colston; brothers, Herman Green, John T. (Bonnie) Green of Sewanee, Joe Green, Cowan, James (Jan) Green, Sherwood; sisters, Mary Green, Sewanee, Kathy Ownby, Austell, GA, Barbara Byers and Susie (Sam) Kilgore, Monteagle; a host of special nieces and nephews. The family wants to thank the Monteagle Church of Christ, Tree of Life in Tracy City, Stacey Campbell, Stephanie Gibbs, Lindsey Gipson, Holly Foster Bailey, Jenny Thomas, Pam Isabell, Helen Luzzadder, Jan Green and all the other ladies who cared for my mom; Amdeysis Hospice, Holly Langley and Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Keevin Gray and Brother Paul Tittle officiating. Interment will be in Monteagle Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 30, 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home. On line condolences may be shared with the family at: www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net.
