Obituary of Janie Hines

Mrs. Janie Belle Gallagher Hines, age 100, of Pelham, Tennessee, passed from this life Thursday, March 10, 2016, at her home. She was born April 2, 1915, a daughter of the late John and Belle Patton Gallagher and was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hines; brothers, Paul, Tom and Joe Gallagher; sister, Mary Sue Taylor; niece, Tommie Cook and Nephew Wendell Gallagher. Mrs. Hines was a member of Pelham United Methodist Church. Survivors include a niece, Jean Buckner, Hixson; great nephew, Jerry Cook, Chickamauga, GA; great nieces, Darlene Pardue, Chattanooga, Carrie Hardy and Ashleigh Bethune both of Hixson, Jennifer Ruefenacht, Bangor, Maine; several great- great nieces and nephews and one great-great-great nephew. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Pelham United Methodist Church with Reverend De Hennessy officiating. The family will receive friends Friday 5-9 P.M. at Cumberland Funeral Home in Monteagle. The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until time of services.
