Obituary of L.D. Sartain

L.D. Sartain of Pelham, TN died December 18, 2015 at Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, Tennessee. L.D. was the oldest son of Herbert and Maymie Hawk Sartain. He was born Feb. 11, 1929 in Pelham, TN. L.D. was raised in Pelham and graduated from Grundy County High School in 1946. L.D. attended Tennessee Tech in Cookeville and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. L.D. was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Maymie Hawk Sartain, infant sister, brother, Jim Sartain and special son Harold Winton. Survived by his wife of 58 years Reba Jo Bennett Sartain; daughters, Janette Elaine Sartain, Mary Kate Sartain, Carolyn Dee Sartain and Mary Jane Winton of Pelham; sons James Daniel (Henrietta) Sartain of Decherd, Michael Andrew Sartain of Pelham, and Billy Mack (Donna) Sartain of Piqua, Ohio; one niece Millicent Kay (Eddie) Baker of Pelham; grandchildren James Wesley (Courtney) Sartain of Pelham, Heather Nicole Sartain of Decherd and David Alan Winton of Pelham. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ray Winton officiating. Burial will be in Warren Cemetery.
