Obituary of Margaret Scott

Margaret Ann Barnes Scott, age 88, of Monteagle, TN has been received with loving arms to her eternal home in heaven, Friday, December 11, 2015. She was born in Washington, D.C., the only child of William Pascal and Magabelle Gaither Barnes. Ann grew up in Arlington, VA and attended college at Freed Hardeman University in Tennessee. There she met her husband Charles F. Scott, Sr. They married June 17, 1948 and finished their schooling together at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. The loving couple traveled all over the world spreading the love of Christ to thousands. Ann taught many women's bible studies and supported her husband in hi work all of the days. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Monteagle and blessed her community in many ways over the years. She was a kind, compassionate, generous lady who will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Ann is survived by three children, Charles F. Scott, Jr. (Terri) of Monteagle, Bonny Beth Schrader of Belgrade, MT, and Lowell Barnes Scott (Daphne) of Murfreesboro; nine grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 14, 2015 in the chapel of Cumberland Funeral Home, with Brother Charles Williams, Brother Charles Brown and Brother Paul Tittle officiating. Burial will follow in Monteagle Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday 6:00-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
