Obituary of Kathleen Hiers

Kathleen Veal Hiers, age 74, of Coalmont, TN., passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at Southern Tennessee Health System in Sewanee, TN. Mrs. Hiers was born in Elba, Alabama, and was the daughter of the late Robert Jack Veal and Kate Hutchinson Veal. Mrs. Hiers loved Georgia Bulldog Football; she also found it important to stay in contact with close family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her in-laws, Tommie and Ruby Hiers, and her sister Anita Veal. She is survived by her husband Tony Hiers of Coalmont, son Alexander Hiers of Coalmont, daughter Robin Hiers of Atlanta, GA., granddaughter Jennifer Erin Osborne of Atlanta, GA., twin sister Katrina Church of St. Pete, Fl., sister Diana Austin of Seattle, WA., and brother Robert Veal, Jr. of Ozark, Al. Visitation with the family will begin at 12PM, Friday, October 9, 2015, at Cumberland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to your favorite charity.
