Obituary of Sarah Shrum

Mrs. Sarah Luella Shrum age 98 of the White City community near Tracy City passed away Thursday evening in Emerald-Hodgson Skilled Care in Sewanee. She was born June 14, 1912 in Sewanee, a daughter of the late Franklin Caldwell and Rhoda Green Caldwell and was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Shrum; son, Mitchell Shrum; brothers, Robert, William and Paul Caldwell; sister, Anna Marie Summers.
Survivors include her children, Thomas Allen (Carol) Shrum, Joseph Leon Shrum, Bertha Crisp and Betty Shrum all of Tracy City; brother, Archie Caldwell of Ohio; sister, Ester Snelson, Murfreesboro; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Barry Nolan officiating. Burial will be in Burns Cemetery in Sequatchie. The family will receive friends Saturday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Foster & Lay Funeral Home, Tracy City, Tennessee.
