Mr. Willie Howard "Buck" Sanders age 88 of Tracy City passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at his home. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee a son of the late Rose Burr and Minnie James Sanders and was preceded in death by brothers, Ryndal Sanders, Paul "Bill" Sanders; sisters, Tryda Bouldin, Inez Harrison; grandson, Joshua Darrell Brown. Mr. Sanders was retired from the U S Postal Service after 39 years, he had served as a postal clerk and as Postmaster at Tracy City Post Office, was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Tracy City, a founding charter member of the Grundy County Quarterback Club and a long time Grundy and Vols fan. He was faithful to his church and his Lord; a loving father, grandfather, and husband; proud of his county and community; never met a stranger; generous and loving to his many friends and family; loved life and the many happy times with his beloved family. "Family Man and Trusting Christian" He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Jean "Dot" Sanders; daughters, Johnny Rose ("Bubbe") Conry, Charlotte Marie (Johnny) McGuire, Sarah Ann (Darrell) Brown, Dorothy Ellen "Dorie" (Jerry) Bryant all of Tracy City; 9 grandchildren, Michael Myers, Paul (Natasha) Conry, Karen (Danny) Coffelt, Joseph Brown, Beth (Josh) Guest, Nick (Rachel) Bryant, Laura (Seth) Layne, Justin (Blair) Bryant, Holly McGuire; 12 great-grandchildren, Peyton and Zane Conry, Faith Coffelt, Vincent and Kaleigh Bryant, Madelyn and Mallory Guest, Bella and Ezra Layne, Eisley Brown, Kellen and Jalen Bryant; sister, Hazel Grace Henley, Red Bank; brother, R.B. (Carolyn) Sanders, Signal Mountain and a host of nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Charlotte Sanders; brother-in-law, Ben Harrison. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Tracy City First United Methodist Church with Reverend Danny Coffelt officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Myers, Paul Conry, Joseph Brown, Nick Bryant, Justin Bryant and Josh Guest; honorary pallbears, Jarrett Lee Keel and Randal Keel. The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-9 P.M. At the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church Thursday 12:00 Noon until time of services.
