Obituary of Marion Hawkins

Mrs. Marion Inez Brooks Hawkins age 84 of the Midway community near Sewanee passed away Friday, July 31, 2015, at her daughter's home in Decherd. She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Brooks; husband, Glen H. "Hub" Hawkins; brother, Horton Brooks; sister, Elizabeth Kemp. Survivors include her daughters, Becky (Jimmy Wayne) Sanders of Decherd, Lynn Hawkins Duncan and her husband, Congressman Jimmy Duncan, Jr. of Knoxville; sister, Beulah Mitchell of California; grandchildren, Tara Duncan Richardson (Bryn), Whitney Duncan Brown (Jason), John Duncan III (Jennifer), Zan Duncan (Hallie), Angela Lundberg, Daniel Meaker (Angie), Chris Meaker (Amy), J J Sanders (Cortney), Steve Sanders (Lori); great-grandchildren, Beau, Hailey, Emma, Maclain, Harper, twins, John IV (Jimmy) and Charlotte Faith (Charlie), Zane, Jr. and a great grandson to be born in November, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Austin, Modesty, Cyrus, Kyler, Micah, Chase, Peyton, Morgan, Megan and Allie. A graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday in Eastern Star Cemetery with Brother Terry Long officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
