Melvin G. Cashion, age 73 passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Emerald-Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee, TN. He was the son of the late James Cashion and Annie Lee Gibson Cashion and was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Lee Cashion Dunn. He was a self employed business man and owned and operated Cashion's Cleaning Service. Survivors include his son, James Richard Cashion, of Shelbyville, TN, and sister, Lynda Neill of Fayetteville, TN. Along with six Grandchildren, two nephews and one niece. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Monday at Doak-Howell Funeral Home in Shelbyville, TN, with burial to follow in the Old Orchard Cemetery, outside of Petersburg, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M at Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, TN. And from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Doak-Howell Funeral Home, Shelbyville, TN.
