Obituary of Eva Blum

Eva Jeannette Blum, 67, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at her children's home in Sequatchie, Tennessee following an extended illness. Born August 5, 1947 in Harlan KY, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Emma Johnson. She was the widow of James Edgar Blum, who passed away in 1992 at the age of 47. Eva moved to Lake Mary, Florida where she lived until moving to Putnam County in the mid 1980's. She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, music, gardening and being out on the river fishing. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her children Brenda, Glenda, and James Edgar Blum, Jr., siblings, Julius Johnson, Roy Lee Johnson, John Henry Johnson, Nellie Evelyn Johnson, Haley Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, James (Eddie) Edward Noe. Eva is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Renee Hyde & (Wayne) of Gainesville, Florida, Angela Jeannette Blum & (Garry) of Tennessee. Sons, Thomas Glenn Blum of Tennessee, Robert Eugene Blum & (Kathy) of Fruitland, Florida, Curtis Edward Blum & (Dixie) of Tennessee. Grandchildren, Ashley Nichole Aylor & (Josh) and Sophia Weaver all of Gainesville, Florida. Robert Eugene Blum Jr., and Haley "Larissa" Blum of Fruitland, Florida. Cheyenne Leigh Blum, Cierra Marie Blum, Curtis Edward Blum, Jr., Dixie Lee Blum, Angelica Rennee Blum, Garry Thomas Blum, Jerrika Jeannette McGhee, Angle Lee McGhee and Trisha Justine Blum, all of Tennessee. Great Grandson Liam Kenneth Aylor of Gainesville, Florida. Brothers, Bennie Johnson & (Viola) of Harlan, Kentucky, Ernest Johnson & (Iris) of Starke, Florida, and Clarence Johnson of Harlan, Kentucky. Sisters, Effie Kauffman & (Chuck) of Tennessee and Emma Nadeane Johnson & (Virgil) of Tennessee. Numerous nieces and nephews. In Remembrance of Eva, there will be a service held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, with Reverend Ernest Lockhart officiating, at Foster & Lay Funeral Home Chapel, burial will be in the Blum Family Cemetery, for all of her friends and family.
