William Dee "Buster" Smith, age 68 of Monteagle passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2015, at his home. Buster was an U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was retired from the Grundy County Housing Authority.
Buster is preceded in death by his parents, William Douglas and Beatrice Smith; sons, Steven and Christopher Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey Lola Smith; daughter, Vanessa Sanders; grandchildren, Takoda Hill, Sierra Hill, Cheyenne Hill and Cody Sanders; great-grandchild, Kimberly Sanders; sisters, Kathy Bouldin of Tracy City and Linda Culpepper of Sewanee.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Cumberland Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Allen Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in the Monteagle Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5-9PM, today, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 and 9AM - 9PM Thursday, March 12, 2015. You may share a story about Buster or leave condolences at www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net.
