Obituary of William Griffith

Mr. William Stanford "Billy" Griffith, age 84, of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at his home with his family and dear friend Raymond Releford by his bedside. He is preceded in death by his parents, Taylor and Julie Shrum, infant son, Kirk Griffith, daughter, Crystal Nunley, grandson, Dustin Nunley, nephew, Kevin Shrum. Survivors include his wife Kay Griffith, sons, Billy Ray Griffith; Wayne (Samantha) Stevens; daughters, Jennifer Griffith (Troy) Nunley; Paula Clay, all of Tracy City, Tennessee; brothers, Ray (Dola) Shrum, Tracy City, Tennessee, Donald Shrum, Tracy City, Tennessee, Mike (Kathy) Shrum, Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Orpha Myers (Russell), Monteagle, Tennessee, Peggy Gross, Henderson Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; several nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends from 5-9 PM Friday, December 26, 2014 at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 28, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Brother Dennis Rollins and Brother Freddie Savage officiating. Military honors will be provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Myers Hill First Congregational Methodist Church.
