Mr. Jim Copeland of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away suddenly Saturday, December 13, 2014, in Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Sewanee. He was born in Grundy County a son of the late Archie Copeland and Nora White Copeland. Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by sons, Jimmy Lee and Heath Copeland; brothers, J.T., Bill and Don Copeland.
Jim was a member of Tracy City Baptist Tabernacle and he loved reading his Bible. He had worked at the shirt factory for many years and retired from Colonial Manufacturing.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Mae Copeland; children, Jimmy Ray (Happy) Copeland, James E. "LittleBoy" Copeland, Junior (Angel) Sanders, Pearlie Mae Copeland, Jo Parsons and Jeanettee Sandres; sisters, Clara Parsons and Claudene King; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Plainview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home. On line condolences may be made at www.fosterlayfuneralhome.net.
