Obituary of Stanley Dykes

Mr. Stanley Franklin "Bowzer" Dykes age 82 of Parmley Hollow near Tracy City passed away at his home, Tuesday, May 27, 2014. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had served during the Korean War. Born in Tracy City he was a son of the late Clinton and Nancy O'Neal Dykes and was preceded in death by his brothers, Carmon, Gordon, Grady and John Dykes. "Bowzer" was a member of Plainview Community Church and had worked for Hoback Construction for over 25 years and was a well known and skilled concrete former & finisher.
Survivors include his niece whom he called his daughter, Rhonda Dykes; brother, Carl Dykes; sisters, Marie McDaniel and Eula Mae Dykes; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Mike Rigsby and Claude Hoback officiating. Burial will be in Orange Hill Cemetery with full military honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
